Reboot Computer Services deals primarily in ex-lease corporate desktop and laptop computers and peripherals. Secondhand computers carry a 3 month (Shop Prices only) RTB guarantee covering parts and labour. Laptop batteries are covered by a 24 hour DOA guarantee unless agreed at the time of purchase. A battery life of at least half an hour can be expected. New batteries can be fitted at extra cost on request. Software installations are not covered unless no other software has been installed after the initial preload. This also applies to automatic updates. Peripherals will be guaranteed according to condition. Standard software installations include a pdf reader, media player and necessary codecs, an open source office suite, a picture editing and viewing package, a web browser and basic anti-virus software all patched and updated. For Linux systems the chosen distribution will be updated and patched to ensure non-free media play and any internet dongles work. New computers and peripherals will be covered by the respective manufacturer’s guarantee. Any guarantee will be invalidated by mishandling such as dropping, liquid spillage or inexpert modifications to either software or hardware
Website Prices - are pay on line and collect in shop for customers who prefer to configure their computer themselves. Support is not included. We offer optional support packages at additional cost for customers who require assistance in installing software, copying data, connecting to the internet, configuring email and many other more advanced operations. Computers bought for website prices are covered by a 30 day RTB hardware only guarantee. Any faults due to software errors such as failure to connect to the internet or virus attacks will not be covered under guarantee and repairs will be charged at £50.00
